Long Time No See Sandy

PIC_0001
This photo was taken at Sandy’s home in Kaoshiung on January 28, 2004. The photo jogged my memory. It's a long story. We were good friends. We were holding the single adult family home evening at that time. When we arrived her home, we had already prepared easy dinner for ourselves. The photograph brings back many pleasant memories. Although I did not have many food photography tips, the food looked very tasty.

The red salad and red pieces of meat was a good match.

Sandy kept a Persian cat as a pet.

The cat grasped her arm. How cute was it!!!
But when Sophia and I rode the Amtrak's California Zephyr from Salt Lake City to Emeryville in a sleeper cabin. We did not travel by jet because of the fabulous scenery. The view was great. And later we stayed at Hotel Layne, the hotel charges for Internet service. We spent the money, used the Facebook Wall feature and wrote,"we were preparing to sleep."

Sandy said,"I work in san Francisco...101 Howard street, not too far from ur hotel....maybe can meet u guys Ye....can call me".It was very cool. We ran across an old friend in a distant land.

We had an appointment with her at San Francisco's Union Square District the next day. Before this appointment we needed to  go back to Union Square from Marin County. The bus had a breakdown and stopped with a jerk. It was growing cool and time was running out. I bought a levis shirt because I only wore a T-shirt and I was too cold in San Franscisco. Being cold and hungry is no joke. Sophia jeered at my mistakes.

We took a photo with her at Macy's Union Square.
And in two days we agreed by mere coincidence to meet her and her room-mate at Gilroy Premium Outlets. Sandy said,"Her room-mate would return to Taiwan. She would give her family presents. So she was here.". And I knew Sandy work four days a week. Her job was enviable. We were so excited about this when our gps was dead. Her room-mate helped us to make a reservation for one room at the Ramada Limited Gilroy in Gilroy. We would have been down and out in a city if there had been not her help. At that time Sophia worried about the matter. And I was not in command of this situation. Very thanks for their helps.
Run across an old friend in a distant land is one the three happiness of entire life.
